Community Guidelines

These are the rules of the road. Violating them can get your account suspended or banned — including on the first offense for serious violations.

Be authentic

  • Use real photos of yourself. Catfishing is a permanent ban. Photos should be recent (past 2 years), clear, and show your face.
  • Represent yourself honestly.Real age, real gender, real relationship status. Don't pretend to be someone you're not.
  • One account per person. Multiple or fake accounts are not allowed.

Be respectful

  • Harassment, hate speech, and discrimination based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other protected characteristic are not tolerated. First-offense ban.
  • No unsolicited sexually explicit content. Ever.
  • Consent matters. "No" means no, offline and online.
  • Rejection is not a crime. If someone doesn't message you back, don't create alt accounts, don't show up uninvited, don't keep messaging.

Stay legal

  • You must be 18 or older. Accounts suspected of being minors are removed immediately.
  • No illegal activity: drug sales, sex work solicitation, stolen goods, weapons.
  • If you are on a sex-offender registry or have been convicted of a violent or sexual offense, you are not permitted to use SinglesEvents.

Don't scam

  • No romance scams. No asking for money. No “I'm stuck overseas.”
  • No MLM pitches, crypto scams, or “investment opportunities.”
  • No phishing or trying to get passwords/financial info.
  • No commercial spam or promotional messaging.

Events

  • If you RSVP, show up (or cancel if you can't make it). Flakes hurt organizers and other attendees.
  • Follow the organizer's rules at events: venue policies, dress code, format.
  • Don't harass organizers. They're running a business; treat them like any other service provider.

How enforcement works

We have three tools:

  • Warning: for minor issues. You stay active; we flag the concern.
  • Suspension: for repeated or moderate violations. Access is blocked until the issue is resolved.
  • Permanent ban:for serious violations (harassment, catfishing, scams, illegal content, threats). You won't be allowed to create a new account.

Appeals

If you think you were suspended or banned by mistake, email [email protected] with your account email and a short explanation. We review every appeal.

Reporting

See someone breaking the rules? Use the Report button on their profile, message, or event. We review every report. For serious issues (threats of violence, minors on the platform), also email [email protected] with details.
